A leading North East spa is helping members get in shape with a revolutionary training system backed by Alan Shearer.
The Spa at Ramside, at Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa in County Durham, is now offering Speedflex training sessions in its gym, designed to make training easier and more effective for members of all ages and fitness levels.
Described as high-intensity training (HIIT) with a difference, Speedflex offers a combination of cardio and resistance training in a session which leaves little – and often no – post-exercise soreness.
This is because the system uses the client’s body and force as opposed to weights, meaning users train to their best personal level.
Championed by former England Captain and North East hero Alan Shearer along with TV presenter and fitness fan Ben Shephard, Speedflex helps users achieve fitness goals quickly, and is ideal for people with busy lives who don’t have several hours a week to devote to the gym.
Instead, thanks to its high-intensity nature, clients can look after their health and bodies with just three sessions a week.
“We are absolutely delighted to have our own Speedflex system here at the Spa at Ramside,” said spa director Joanne Green.
“There has been such a buzz about the system, and it’s such an exciting development in the world of fitness and training. We love the fact that it works for everyone, regardless of their age, shape or ability.
“Because of the way it responds to personal force, you could have never lifted a weight in your life or be as strong as an ox, and it will offer the same intensive work-out.
“Our machine arrived last week and we can’t wait to get our members using it to help them achieve their health and fitness goals faster. We are sure that once people try it they will absolutely love it, and we look forward to seeing the results.”
Speedflex at the Spa at Ramside is available for use to all members once they have undergone a short induction session.
