A raft of leading businesses join destination organisation as partners

Over the last 18 months more than 40 leading businesses from across the region have joined destination and inward investment agency, NewcastleGateshead Initiative (NGI) as partners.

The world’s leading venue management company ASM Global, award-winning managed service and internet provider Aspire Technology Solutions, IT and business consultancy firm CGI, global digital consultancy Monstarlab, FTSE 100 financial technology firm Sage and Tortoise Media are just some of the organisations that have joined a community of likeminded businesses who work together to make a positive impact on the region.

As drivers and enablers of economic growth, NGI work collaboratively with their partners to benefit the people of Newcastle, Gateshead, and the wider region. They have cultivated a partnership base of more than 140 businesses, who are all committed to championing the region’s distinctive offer to the world.

They see value in working alongside NGI to drive innovation and job creation as well as act on pressing challenges and new opportunities. In addition to raising their own profile, being part of projects that make an impact and growing their network, partners and NGI work together to create a world class destination to enjoy, stay and invest in.

Alys Dunn, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Programmes, NewcastleGateshead Initiative, said:

“It’s fantastic to have such a varied and exciting group of partners that work collaboratively to help create a distinctive destination where businesses and people can grow and thrive. Our partners are so passionate about making a difference and their collective ambition for the city and the wider region is invaluable.

“The North East continues to attract significant investment nationally and from across the world which means there hasn’t been a more crucial and opportune time to deliver impactful work. There are so many brilliant examples of our partners supporting one another to unlock opportunity and ideas and as we look towards the future, I look forward to working with partners on new projects and initiatives that contribute to the growth of our local economy.”

John Marshall, Chairman, NewcastleGateshead Initiative, added:

“Partnerships are integral to NGI’s work, creating a like-minded community who are an extension of the NGI team, driving economic growth and making a positive social impact.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners for their continued support and commitment to the growth of Newcastle, Gateshead, and the wider North East. The future is exciting, and it is fantastic to have a group of businesses that are so passionate about championing our corner of the world.”
