Raby Castle to host a paw-some day with Bark inthe Park Dog Show
11th September 2025

Raby Castle, Park and Gardens will be hosting one of the best dog-friendly events in the North East on Sunday 28 September.
The popular ‘Bark in the Park’ Dog Show, which takes place in Raby Castle’s stunning grounds from 10am to 4pm, features a variety of activities that will set tails wagging.
From agility demonstrations, where professional pups dash, jump, and weave through challenging courses at top speed, to interactive sessions, where dog owners can learn tips and tricks from dog training experts and put them into practice on the day, the action-packed set up has been expertly designed for four-legged friends and their owners.
Raby’s ‘Bark in the Park’ will also feature a fun dog show. Dog-lovers can enter their furry best friend in several categories including ‘Coolest Pup’, ‘Golden Oldies’, ‘Young Handler’, ‘Most Like Their Owner’ and many more which visitors can simply sign up to on the day. The winner of the Best in Show will receive a 60-minute photography session with their four-legged friend, courtesy of Mitford Photography, and includes five complimentary images.
After browsing stalls featuring gourmet dog treats, leads, and rugged outdoor gear from a selection of handpicked traders, visitors can spend the rest of the day stretching their legs and giving their pups a well-earned walk throughout the Deer Park with scenic castle views.
Sophie Brown, Sales and Events Manager at Raby Estates, said: “Raby’s Bark in the Park has really grown in popularity over the years and it’s wonderful to see so many dogs and their owners return every September, as well as welcoming new four-legged friends each year.
“The relationship between humans and dogs is precious, and our event provides a fantastic opportunity for dog-lovers to spend a fun day out with their furry best friend, leaving their cares at home and simply enjoying the great outdoors together.”
There’s no entry fee for dogs or children under four and an exclusive online price includes adult tickets for £11 and child tickets for £6.50 when booking in advance. A family ticket for two adults and two children is also available for £35. All ‘Bark in the Park’ tickets include entry to Raby’s Deer Park and its five-acre Walled Gardens. On the day, the prices will be the current deer park and garden ticket price.
In the build-up to ‘Bark in the Park’, Sunday dog walks will also be taking place throughout September, offering a relaxed and social opportunity for dogs and owners alike to explore the parkland together and enjoy the fresh autumn air.
Starting at 11am, entry to the friendly dog walks is included within a Deer Park and Gardens ticket and is a fantastic way to meet other dog lovers.
