Gaydio is the UK’s LGBTQ+ radio station and one of the country’s leading platforms for entertainment, education, and community connection. Dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and amplifying diverse voices, Gaydio plays a vital role in uniting and uplifting the community.

Operating as a Community Interest Company (CIC), all of Gaydio’s profits are reinvested into programming, events, and outreach initiatives that directly support LGBTQ+ people.

Gaydio broadcasts on FM in Manchester (88.4FM) and Brighton (97.8FM), and on DAB across key UK cities including London, Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Liverpool, Bristol, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle upon Tyne, and Portsmouth. The station is also accessible online via the Gaydio website, mobile app, or by smart speaker—simply say, “Play Gaydio”.

Founded in Manchester in 2006, Gaydio expanded nationally in 2013 through the acquisition of London-based GaydarRadio, and further extended its reach with the launch of an FM service in Brighton in 2018.
