Northumberland Plate Festival announced with early bird offers available now
2nd March 2026
Newcastle Racecourse today announces its tickets and packages for the annual JenningsBet Northumberland Plate Festival, with racegoers able to secure up to 12% off tickets before prices increase on 30th April 2026.
Newcastle Racecourse has announced that Early Bird tickets are up for grabs for the JenningsBet Northumberland Plate Festival, returning from Thursday 25th – Saturday 27th June 2026.
One of the most prestigious events in the racing calendar, the three-day festival centres around the iconic Northumberland Plate Handicap – the richest two-mile handicap in Britain – and attracts top-class horses, big crowds and an electric atmosphere year after year.
Those looking to be part of the action can currently enjoy savings on general admission tickets for a limited time, with prices set to rise from 30th April.
Saturday’s Northumberland Plate Day remains the highlight of the festival, bringing together elite racing, fashion and a celebration of the North East’s biggest social occasion of the summer. With a prize fund of £150,000, the historic two-mile heritage handicap continues to cement its status as one of the most sought-after victories in British racing.
Adding to the festival experience this year is a brand-new Pizza & Pint deal, giving racegoers the chance to enjoy a classic pairing trackside. Perfect for those looking to keep things simple while soaking up the atmosphere, the offer will be available across the festival weekend, delivering great food, great value and even better company.
As always, the racing is only part of the story. On Friday 26th June, local favourite DJ and Ibiza regular, Ladebare, will take to the decks after racing, bringing his DJing from Hï Ibiza to Newcastle Racecourse, kick-starting the weekend festivities.
Then on Saturday 27th June, the party continues with the famous Day Fever, promising feel-good classic anthems from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s as the sun sets over Gosforth Park.
With live entertainment across both evenings, racegoers can expect a seamless transition from thrilling on-track action to a summer celebration long into the evening.
Popular hospitality packages will be returning to Northumberland Plate Day this year, including Pizza & Prosecco, Bottomless Brunch, Plate Day Pavilion and the Brandling Banquet packages, giving guests a dining experience to remember while they enjoy the day of racing. The highly popular POD in the Park packages will also be available for groups of up to 10, perfect for a day of luxury in the Centre Course.
With demand expected to be high, guests are encouraged to secure their tickets early and take advantage of the discounted rate before prices increase on 30th April.
