Fenwick x Greggs Drop Football-Inspired Capsule at The Golden Flake Tavern
2nd March 2026
Fenwick and Greggs reunite to launch a limited-edition, football-inspired capsule collection, created exclusively for The Golden Flake Tavern, Greggs’ first-ever pub concept in partnership with Fenwick Newcastle.
Rooted in North East culture but styled for the now, the 10-piece unisex capsule reframes matchday staples through a contemporary fashion lens. Think reworked football shirts with elevated detailing, graphic scarves designed to be layered not waved, statement headwear and collectible accessories that sit somewhere between terrace nostalgia and streetwear drop.
Featuring The Golden Flake Tavern crest alongside unmistakable brand codes including Fenwick’s iconic green stripe, the collection plays with heritage iconography while tapping into football’s current style renaissance. Once reserved for kick-off, the football shirt has become a wardrobe staple far beyond the stadium, worn oversized, styled with tailoring or layered for everyday impact.
This is football culture reimagined: part pub folklore, part fashion statement, entirely North East
Adam Kelly, Chief Commercial Officer at Fenwick added “The best collaborations sit at the intersection of culture and credibility. Fenwick and Greggs work because the partnership is authentic, rooted in community and never taking itself too seriously. Collaborating with Bespoke-ly on the creative, we treated football iconography as a design language, refining it into pieces that feel just as right on the pitch as they do in the tavern. It respects tradition, but wears it lightly, and is confident, considered and made to be lived in”
Available exclusively at Fenwick Newcastle within The Golden Flake Tavern and online at Fenwick.co.uk, the drop is intentionally limited and designed for those who understand the crossover.
Set against Grey’s Monument, The Golden Flake Tavern has blurred the lines between retail theatre and pub culture since its launch last September. With last orders set for Friday 13 March 2026, the capsule offers one final opportunity to own a piece of this unexpected cultural moment.
