The trend in afternoon clubbing is showing no signs of slowing down as a new daytime clubbing experience is heading to the O2 City Hall on 19 July — and you’ll be tucked up by bedtime!

HOME BY 9’, created by North East-based Dynamite Concepts, is a brand-new immersive afternoon clubbing experience built for party people who want all the fun — without the late-night fallout.

Launching its debut show on Saturday 19 July at Newcastle’s iconic O2 City Hall, HOME BY 9 delivers a high-energy daytime party featuring full-scale production, outrageous entertainment, and a nostalgic soundtrack of disco, pop and retro guilty pleasures — all wrapped up by 9pm.

The concept taps into a growing UK trend for daytime disco events — with HOME BY 9 promising to step things up a gear.

With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality and leisure industry, the team at Dynamite Concepts is bringing a whole host of entertainment that audiences have been looking for: a high-energy, authentic, and quality experience that feels worth getting dressed up for.

“We’ve spent time at many of the UK’s most popular daytime disco events” said a spokesperson for Dynamite Concepts. “The majority were well-organised with lovely crowds — but in most cases, the entertainment content and presentation could be elevated for the wow factor. It felt like something was missing and that’s when we knew we had to raise the bar with Home by 9.”

To do it, they’ve teamed up with Brutus Gold’s Love Train—the undisputed pioneers of immersive disco entertainment who is behind some of the UK’s most iconic immersive nights out, and with over 40 years’ experience of delivering feel-good theatre on the dancefloor.

“We didn’t want to just throw a party — we wanted a show. When the Love Train team came on board, we knew we had something really special.”

What to Expect:

  • DJ Vanilla Slice spinning wall-to-wall retro bangers
  • Wiggy (cult TV icon from The Hitman and Her) and his high-kicking dance troupe Spandex Ballet
  • Immersive performers, surprise characters, and laugh out loud moments you’ll talk about for weeks
  • Lights, FX, euphoric disco and pop soundtrack and the feel-good chaos of a real night out — with none of the mess

With doors opening at 3pm, HOME BY 9 is tailor-made event for anyone who wants to party hard without the late night chaos. It’s feel-good, full-throttle fun with a grown-up twist.

Following the Newcastle launch, HOME BY 9 will tour cities across the UK as part of a major 2025 rollout including The Fire Station in Sundarland on Saturday 11 October:
