Crowne Plaza Newcastle sets a new benchmark for deaf-inclusive meetings and events
17th March 2026
Crowne Plaza Newcastle – Stephenson Quarter is introducing a new wellbeing-focused initiative for the meetings and events sector, launching bespoke Event Organiser Rescue Kits for organisers hosting conferences and corporate events at the hotel.
Designed in response to the physical and mental demands placed on event professionals, the kits will be prepared for every event and reserved exclusively for organisers and lead planners. The aim is to help organisers stay energised, focused and supported throughout long set-up days, live event delivery and late finishes.
Each Rescue Kit will be presented in a branded reusable bag and stocked with a considered selection of practical essentials. Contents will include hydration and nutrition items such as bottled water, smoothies, bananas or energy bars, alongside wellbeing-focused products including moisturiser, lip balm, refreshing facial wipes and hand cream.
To address fatigue and sensory overload common during multi-day events, the kits may also feature noise-reducing earplugs, eye masks, stress or grip balls, and calming aromatherapy roll-ons or sleep sprays to support rest and recovery after the event closes.
The initiative forms part of Crowne Plaza Newcastle’s wider focus on client care within its meetings and events offering, recognising that the experience of organisers directly impacts the success of an event.
By proactively supporting organiser wellbeing, the hotel aims to create an environment where planners can operate at their best — from early-morning briefings to late-night breakdowns — while reinforcing Crowne Plaza Newcastle’s commitment to thoughtful, people-first service.
The Event Organiser Rescue Kits are now being rolled out across meetings and events hosted at Crowne Plaza Newcastle.
