Twenty Michelin-starred chefs confirmed for Newcastle charity street food spectacular in aid of Cancer Research UK, plus first-ever VIP experience unveiled.

The full chef line-up for ThirdBite 2026 has been announced, with dish tokens going on sale this Sunday, 31st May 2026. The third edition of the acclaimed charity fundraiser BiteBack returns to Wylam Brewery, Palace of Arts, Newcastle, on Sunday, 19th July 2026, with all proceeds donated to Cancer Research UK.

Since its inception, BiteBack has raised just under £200,000 for Cancer Research UK, with last year’s SecondBite alone generating nearly £117,000. The team behind Restaurant Pine, the driving force behind the event, are determined to surpass that total in 2026.

The full line-up for ThirdBite 2026 is:

Cal Byerley – Pine | Ian Waller – Pine | Gareth Ward – Ynyshir | Adam Handling MBE – The Frog | Paul Burgalieres – L’Enclume | Chet Sharma – Bibi | James Knappett – Kitchen Table | Tom Shepherd – Upstairs by Tom Shepherd | Josh Angus – HIDE | Mark Donald – The Glenturret | Johnnie Crowe – St Barts | Jean Delport – Interlude | Lisa Goodwin-Allen – Northcote | David Taylor – Grace & Savour | Paul Leonard – Forest Side | Rafael Cagali – Daterra | Jack Bond – The Cottage in the Wood |    Roberta Hall – Little Chartroom | Jake Jones – The Forge at Middleton Lodge | Stuart Ralston – Lyla |

Each of the 20 chefs will serve 500 portions of their own distinctive take on street food, a format that challenges some of the UK’s most celebrated culinary talent to step outside their comfort zone and showcase their personality and creativity in a relaxed, accessible setting. With only 500 portions available per chef, guests are strongly encouraged to purchase tokens early.

Entry to the event is free. Dish tokens are priced at £10 each and will be available to purchase exclusively in advance at www.3rdbitefestival.co.uk from Sunday, 31st May 2026.

Introducing the First-Ever ThirdBite VIP Experience

New for 2026, the ThirdBite team is launching an exclusive VIP package. Privately seated amongst the brewery tanks inside Wylam Brewery, tables of ten guests will enjoy drinks service from 11am to 3pm, with a choice of arrival drink, prosecco, beer, or the limited-edition ‘From the Pass’ collaboration beer created with Wylam Brewery, alongside the opportunity to pre-order five street food dishes each from the Michelin-starred line-up, served between 12pm and 1pm. All proceeds from the VIP experience will go to Cancer Research UK.

Alongside the food, a selection of local DJs will provide entertainment throughout the day, and the popular online auction will return, featuring a range of exclusive foodie experiences and prizes. Businesses interested in donating auction prizes are invited to contact Siân Byerley at sian@restaurantpine.co.uk.

Siân Byerley, co-owner of Restaurant Pine, said:

Last year’s SecondBite was incredible and raised a huge amount of money for Cancer Research UK. But we’re determined to go one better for ThirdBite 2026. We’ve called in a few favours to bring a stellar line-up to Wylam Brewery and help us raise as much as possible in the fight against cancer. We’d love you to join us on 19th July, make a real difference and enjoy some amazing food along the way.

All proceeds from ThirdBite 2026 will be donated to Cancer Research UK, supporting more than 4,000 researchers, clinicians and nurses working to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
