Newcastle Racecourse has announced that its flagship summer event will be titled Say When Ladies Day, following a brand-new sponsorship with Gosforth-based wine bar and brasserie, Say When.

Taking place on Saturday 25th July 2026 at Gosforth Park, Ladies Day is one of the region’s most-anticipated social events and this year’s sponsorship will bring new food, drink and post-racing experiences for racegoers to enjoy.

Say When opened its doors in Gosforth in December last year and will be opening another venue in Ponteland very soon. It is the latest business venture from The Brack Brothers, who own a growing portfolio of hospitality ventures across the North East including Eatflix, Brack Burger, Alfie’s Bar and Surfer’s in Tynemouth, among others.

As part of the collaboration, there will be a Say When hospitality package and a dedicated Brack Burger tent in the Premier Enclosure, adding a new casual dining option for racegoers to enjoy.

In addition, attendees will benefit from an enhanced post-racing experience, with shuttle buses set to stop at Say When on Gosforth High Street, before continuing up to Tup Tup palace for the official after-party.

Deborah Scott, Sponsorship Manager at Newcastle Racecourse said: “We’re delighted to welcome Say When as headline sponsors for this year’s Ladies Day. Their creativity and strong connection to the North East hospitality scene makes them the perfect partner to elevate race day experiences for our guests. From the food and drink offering through to the post-racing entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

Joe Brack Director of the Brack Brothers Hospitality Group commented: “When Paul and Deborah approached us about becoming the official sponsor of Ladies Day, it really was a no brainer. Ladies Day is one of the standout social events in Newcastle’s calendar, and with our hospitality portfolio, we feel we’re a natural fit and can bring something fresh to an already fantastic occasion. We’re extremely excited to be working with Newcastle Racecourse and look forward to building a strong and lasting partnership.”

Ladies Day will return this summer with a full programme of racing, style and entertainment, continuing its reputation as a highlight in the North East’s social calendar.

With demand expected to be high following a standout year last year, guests are encouraged to secure their tickets now.
