Climate tech startup floe technology has launched the beta version of floe reporting, its flagship cloud-based platform designed to automate carbon reporting and workspace compliance for serviced offices.

The beta marks the first public deployment of the tool, providing early access to a select group of workspace owners, operators and tenants. The pilot has officially launched in two leading Newcastle locations: The Stamp Exchange and HyHubs.

Floe Reporting directly addresses one of the most persistent challenges in commercial carbon accounting: the complexity and lack of transparency around tracking electricity-based (Scope 2) emissions in multi-tenant environments. With floe reporting, workspaces can connect their energy data and instantly generate standardised, audit-ready reports—no consultants, no spreadsheets, no delays.

“We believe that taking meaningful steps to reduce carbon impact should be radically simpler,” said Hamish Rutherford, Co-Founder and CEO of Floe. “We’re removing the friction from carbon reporting by making the data required accessible. We make it intuitive and efficient for landlords and tenants to understand their emissions or compliance gaps. Our platform gives them clarity, transparency, and control from day one.”

floe technology was born out of real-world experience running flexible workspaces. Over the past three years, the team designed, launched, and managed successful coworking hubs in Newcastle—including Floe Newcastle, the Stamp Exchange and the 5G immersive lab.

Throughout that journey, the floe team saw firsthand the growing pressure for transparency around sustainability. As more tenants demanded carbon data and ESG credentials became essential for investors and corporate clients, existing reporting solutions proved to be fragmented, expensive, and overly complex—especially for smaller operators. floe reporting was built to change that.

“We believe carbon reporting shouldn’t cost the earth,” added Rutherford. “That’s why we’ve created an accessible product for SMEs—making it easy and simple to start your journey towards Net Zero.”

By combining lived experience as operators with deep technical insight, floe created a solution that meets the needs of modern workspace providers: easy to use, instantly valuable, and built for a greener future.

With government regulations tightening and companies under increasing pressure to disclose carbon emissions, the demand for accurate, accessible carbon data has never been greater. Scope 2 emissions—those related to electricity use—represent a major reporting challenge in shared workspaces, where data is often siloed or generalised.

floe reporting bridges this gap with a modern, AI-powered approach. It empowers serviced offices to become sustainability partners, not just landlords—giving tenants and stakeholders the insights they need to meet internal and regulatory ESG targets.
