The biggest weekend of sport in the North East is fast approaching, and you can be part of it!
The Great North 5k kicks off the 40th Great North Run celebrations in style on Friday 10 September this year after the 2020 run was postponed due to the pandemic. People are encouraged to soak up the party atmosphere on a fun and fast 5k route along the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside. The event will start at 18:00, allowing plenty of time to shut down from work and refuel on the Quayside after runners cross that finish line!
Brand new for 2021 is the Team Challenge, a fun contest to bring together the city’s thriving business community. It’s a great opportunity for businesses to encourage a healthy outlook for staff, engage in all-important team building, and focus on charity fundraising.
In teams of four, the fastest collective time will win a very special trophy, plus vouchers to By the River Brew. The race is on to find out which company will be crowned champions and earn the all-important bragging rights.
