NGI partnership update

With the Great Exhibition of the North (GEOTN) opening at the end of June we’ve had a busy couple of months for partner events.

At the start of June we held our Partner Update (for all partners) at the Northern Design Centre. We were joined by representatives from over 35 partner organisations who heard from Maria Bota (GEOTN), Terry McStea (Design Network North), Liz Mayes (The Mining Institute) and Derek Place (Accenture) about their respective involvement in GEOTN. Attendees were also given information on future events planned for the rest of 2018, including the North East England Tourism Awards, Winter Festival and GeNErosity Festival.

We also held a Partner Social event on the opening night of GEOTN at the Copthorne Hotel. There was a great atmosphere as we welcomed representatives from partner organisations who received tickets for the opening event and a free drink as a thank you for their support for the biggest event in England in 2018. Attendees had the chance to network in the hotel atrium before heading down to the quayside for the spectacular opening event.

Over the past couple of months, we’ve also welcomed three new Bronze partners – Bamburgh Castle, South Causey Inn and North East Futures UTC. We’re delighted to be working with these organisations and look forward to successful collaborative partnerships with them over the next 12 months.
