Newcastle Theatre Royal has once again been nominated as ‘The UK’s Most Welcoming Theatre’ as part of a major industry competition. Public voting opens TODAY (Tues 7 August) at 12 noon and the famous venue is calling out to all its loyal fans, audiences and supporters to show their love, and help it secure the coveted title!
One member of the audience recently said to us “I’m really happy with the brilliant customer service from Theatre Royal today. Please tell your manager. The staff from the security to the people that show you your seat to the ice cream sellers all lovely.”
The UK Theatre Awards are the only nationwide awards to honour achievement in regional theatre throughout the UK. Over 170 theatres of all sizes from across the country enter this award, which is voted for entirely by the public. Voting opens at midday today and votes can be cast at: https://uktheatre.org/uks-most-welcoming-theatre/ Voting will close after six weeks at 12pm on 18 September 2018.

The overall winner of the ‘UK’s Most Welcoming Theatre’ Award will be announced at the annual UK Theatre Awards ceremony at London’s historic Guildhall, a magnificent medieval Grade 1 listed landmark building situated in the City of London, on Sunday 14 October 2018.

Voters also have the option of entering a prize draw to win up to £250 worth of Theatre Tokens. Winners (first, second and third place) will receive one prize of Theatre Tokens worth either £250, £100 or £50.
