Life is thrilled to announce that Emerita Professor Katie Bushby, the former Professor of Neuromuscular Genetics at the Institute of Genetic Medicine (IGM) at Life, has joined its Board of Trustees.
After 29 years at IGM, which is part of Newcastle University, Katie retired in May 2018. She remains involved with the John Walton Muscular Dystrophy Research Centre at Life via an honorary position.
The new appointment comes as Professor Patrick Hussey steps down from the Board after five years of service. Life would like to thank Patrick for his valuable contributions to the organisation.
