1,000 scientists convene in NewcastleGateshead for key conference

Sage Gateshead hosted the 41st annual meeting of the European Thyroid Association in September, with support from the NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau. It is the first time the conference has been hosted in the UK in 15 years. BeaconHouse Events BeaconHouse Events provided event management services, to oversee the onsite planning and delivery, including venue and contractor liaison, onsite logistics, management of exhibitors, event branding and staffing for this four day conference. The event attracted over 1,000 delegates from 22 countries.

The conference is for clinicians and scientists who study the thyroid gland and its diseases. It is the most important European meeting in the field of thyroidology.

NewcastleGateshead has had a strong year, with a number of other high-profile conferences having been recently hosted in the city.
